Sorry I’ve been neglecting you wee bloggy. To make up for it here’s a collection of all the debris that has accumulated since I got back to NZ and neglected to post. Managing a radio station doesn’t always leave you heaps of time to post pictures of lolcats. You should check my twitter for that… (twitter.com/brookemitchell)

Also not many people know this but fleetfm has a Youtube favourites page that consistently blows my mind. Anyone can log in and add to it too! youtube.com/fleetfm

Anyway since I’ve been too lackadaisical to keep the frequently update this blog. I’d give you an asorted collection of musical debris of mine that has accumulated of the last few years without me noticing. It seems strange but listening through some of my old shows it doesn’t seem like me that plays this music, or I think, “It’s great but I don’t even remember that track.” Rather than be disconcerting, those are some of my favourite moments I think. Djing can be so all consuming that when things are going well you really get lost in what you are doing. Even though it’s really just you being a knobhead and banging a few tracks together. Anyway I realise I haven’t been enoying it enough lately. This won’t help, but here’s a collection of bits and pieces I really should’ve gotten round to posting up earlier, waaaaaaaaay earlier.

Here’s a Mix I did for as a present for my friends while I was in Belgium, appropriately titled the Christmas mix. This one’s pretty slick and feature alot of stuff that’s a bit more difficult to play in a live scenario.

This is one of my favourite ever Springfling shows, and one I did pretty early on in my radio show, recorded then lost. Then it got deleted and now I’m uploading it specially. I wont give a tracklist unless asked but it features some stuff like a Golden Axe edit that I completely forgot about and sounds really good here I think, and opens with one of my favourite ever tracks to this day. The first time I ever got a call to my show was some lovely person asking about this Maurice Fulton track. SO good.

This was a live set I did as a warm up for a recent Heaven + Paradise show. Warming up is hard, you gotta pace yourself and keep kinda low and sleazy. I think.

A bit diffent from the usual fare and a recent show I really like. Lotsa wierd stuff. No mixing, just some german industrial, afrobeat, disco funk and dancefloor oddities.

I’ll add more bits and pieces as they turn up.
